Legal Assistant
The Ezequiel Reyna Law Office seeks a highly-experienced legal assistant to join the firm’s fast-paced personal injury practice.
We are looking for an applicant who is familiar with personal injury law and will take the lead in handling a high volume of cases. This individual will be expected to meet with clients, prepare pleadings, organize legal documents and file them in a timely manner with the court system. Legal assistants will help attorneys and teams prepare cases for trial.
Applicants must have 3 to 5 years of experience in personal injury, research, legal administration skills, litigation, client relationship. Applicants must have strong writing skills and be able to draft motions, petitions, letters, and prepare for and answer discovery.
Requirements:
- Must be bilingual (Spanish)
- Experience working in a legal environment; personal injury law experience preferred
- Must be proficient in MS Office 2010 products
- Must have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Must be an energetic self-starter able to provide excellent customer service to our clients
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and exhibit strong leadership skills
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience

Pre Litigation Assistant / Case Manager
The Ezequiel Reyna Law Office has an immediate opening for a pre-litigation assistant/case manager. This full-time person will assist with administrative and clerical tasks. The applicant must have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, be detail-oriented, and be a self-starter. Hourly Pay: Starts at $12.50
Duties:
- Request bills and records from various medical entities to prepare files for the settlement
- Communicate professionally over the phone
- Draft and provide a report of files
- Manage a busy caseload
- Meet with attorneys on a daily basis
- Meet with clients
Requirements:
- Must be bilingual
- Minimum one year of experience working in a legal environment
- Minimum one year working in personal injury
- Must be proficient in MS Office 2010 products
- Must have excellent grammar, communication, and organizational skills
- Must be an energetic self-starter able to provide excellent customer service to our clients
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
- A high school diploma is required
- One year of college experience is preferred

Receptionist / Office Clerk
The Ezequiel Reyna Law Office has an immediate opening for a receptionist/office clerk manager. The applicant must have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, be punctual, and be friendly. The applicant must be Bilingual.
Hourly Pay: Starts at $12.25
Duties
- Good communication and strong writing skills are preferred.
- Screening and forwarding incoming calls
- Greet clients
- Receiving and storing daily mail/deliveries
- Perform other clerical receptionist and office clerk duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing, transcribing, and must be able to multitask
- Meet and conduct interviews with client/s and other professionals to discuss details of the case.
- Manage client calls, prepare case documents, file, and schedule appointments for clients and attorneys.
- Prepare affidavits or other documents, such as legal correspondence, and organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing system.
- Prepare for trial by performing tasks such as organizing exhibits
Requirements
- Must be bilingual
- A high school diploma is required
- One year of experience working in a professional office environment
- Must be proficient in MS Office 2010 products, Google Sheets
- Must have great customer service and a pleasant personality
- Must be friendly and welcome clients upon their arrival
- Applicants should be able to work well with others in a busy office setting and work well under pressure
- Must have switchboard skills
- Must be able to type over 35 WPM Answering the switchboard, screening, and forwarding incoming calls
- High School Diploma
- Must have transportation to Weslaco office
