OJ Jimenez



Judge O.J. Jimenez has been an attorney with the Ezequiel Reyna Law Office since 2020, focusing his practice on personal injury litigation. He is also a Municipal Judge for the City of Progresso, Texas and the City Prosecutor and City Attorney for the City of Edcouch, Texas. Before joining the firm, he was a founding partner of two litigation firms. Judge Jimenez focuses his practice on high-stakes civil cases, representing plaintiffs in claims involving complex commercial litigation, personal injury, premises liability, products liability, and construction.

He previously worked as staff counsel for an insurance company, where he focused on insurance litigation. He defended insurers through indemnification; handled liability disputes, fought coverage disputes, participated in numerous alternative dispute resolution (ADR) sessions, regularly litigating these cases in court.

Judge Jimenez graduated from The University of Texas – Pan American with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy and Political Science in 1998. Following his undergraduate studies, he graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate with honors in 2004. During law school, he served as President of the Hispanic Law Association, Vice-President of the Multi-Cultural Association, and Law Clerk for the Oklahoma City Municipal Counselors’ Office.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Bar Foundation, and the Hidalgo County Bar Association. He is also a frequent lecturer on criminal justice and the study of law at high schools and in our local two universities.

Outside of practicing law, Judge Jimenez serves his community through membership and activism with the Rotary Club and the Lions Club. He also cherishes spending time with his family and enjoys hunting, golfing, fishing, and cooking.
