In 2025, he was honored as Businessman of the Year by the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a distinction that reflects his leadership, integrity, and long-standing dedication to the community. His influence extends far beyond the Rio Grande Valley. In 2023, the University of Houston Law Center unveiled the Ezequiel & Livia Reyna Hispanic Heritage Classroom and the Hispanic Heritage Wall of Honor, recognizing his lifelong contributions to the legal profession and the Hispanic community.

A Weslaco native and the seventh child of a hardworking migrant family, Mr. Reyna learned early the values of honesty, discipline, and compassion—principles that have shaped every chapter of his career. After earning his Bachelor of Science from Texas-Pan American University, he completed his Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Houston and began practicing law in 1980.

Early in his career, he secured the first multi-million-dollar settlement in the region and later recovered over $50 million for victims of a major petrochemical explosion. These landmark results helped establish his firm as a trusted force in catastrophic injury, commercial vehicle, wrongful death, and complex product liability litigation. Today, he continues to practice as an active trial attorney, offering strategic leadership and hands-on involvement in the firm’s most serious cases.

Mr. Reyna is an active member of several respected legal associations, including the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Mexican American Bar Association, and the South Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Outside the courtroom, he is a dedicated community leader, local business owner, and family man. He is married to Livia R. Reyna and has three children—Dominic Antonio, Kristen Angela, and Ezequiel Reyna III—and three grandchildren who bring him immense joy.
